But this book read like a poor first draft of all of those things.įirst, there was just so much repetition of the author (through the character) telling us rather than showing us. Based on the build up and character archetypes I thought I would love the fourth/final.īillionaire, alpha, protective, possessive, dangerous/ morally grey MMC I would have DNF'd it several times if it weren't for the fact that I didn't come this far not to learn wtf Magda is all about.įor context I liked the first book, was ambivalent about the second, loved the third.
I'm so thoroughly shocked at how bad this book was I almost wonder if reading it yesterday was some sort of weird fever dream.
